Amanda joined the agency in May 2013 to head up our 23 strong data & analytics team.
Amanda’s direct marketing career has spanned both client-side and agency providing her with a good appreciation of the rewards and the challenges of each.
After a Modern Languages degree (Jesus College, Oxford), Amanda started her working life at a B2B list broking and event firm, which gave her good grounding in direct marketing. Amanda then joined BT’s centralised marketing team (Customer Communications Unit), where she set up – and headed up – their first ever Data Planning Team. Mining BT’s recently developed marketing database, Amanda’s team were able to deliver highly effective analysis and actionable intelligence to the company’s consumer and B2B Campaign Managers. Leaving BT as Head of Customer Information, Amanda moved over to the agency world as Head of Data Planning and Analysis for Evans Hunt Scott, now Havas EHS. Working with amongst others, industry legend Terry Hunt (of Tesco Clubcard fame), Amanda was responsible for enhancing and driving customer relationship strategies for clients including E.ON, Diageo, Volvo, Premier Inn and Barclays.
Most weekends Amanda likes to unwind by watching one of her sons playing hockey or rugby, which is always a very stressful experience! A great antidote to this is a spot of retail therapy and a leisurely lunch with her daughter. And for her very own quality time, together with her husband, she loves going to the opera, concerts and the theatre.
